Halle is 17 months old.

Where does the time go? Halle is growing and changing so much. She talks a ton now saying, milk, ball, Mommy, Daddy, call, Jack, Sam, Baby, Banana, No No, Night Night, ow, wow. She loves babies, climbing, riding in her wagon, playing in the sandbox, milk, watermelon, feeding herself, bubble baths, playing in the water. My favorite is she will get right up in my face, tilt her head to the side and say "Mum?" She loves animals. She always wants to pet them and give them hugs. She is still pretty shy of strangers. She loves shoes and will stay entertained for long stretches of time putting her shoes on and off. She hates getting her hair done and her diaper changed and dressed for the day. She is just to busy to sit still that long. She loves to go up and down steps. I love when she first wakes up. She will giggle and play peek a boo. She has a favorite blanky, it is the pink sliky one that Grandma D made her. She is normally pretty happy unless she wants to be held or she is hungry.

Summer Fun

We have Loving the warm weather! We have been swimming, lots of walks, visits to the Park and lots of playing in the Sandbox! Avery loves playing with friends and eating her lunch outside. The other day we had some friends over and did most of our favorite things.

During Halle and Brady's nap time. Avery and Carter got to watch a movie. To make it fun and different. We turned my Laundry baskets into cars and pretended we were at the Drive-In. They had to pay me for their tickets, treats and popcorn. They both thought it was pretty cool.


Avery is almost 3 1/2 years old. Some things about her right now. She still loves anything Princess. She loves to wear the dresses and still insists on wearing some sort of dress each day. She is always playing and carrying her barbies and little princesses around. She is usually singing and dancing too. She loves to watch "Jesus movies", loves watermelon and playing with friends. She asks to play with a friend every day. She is also extremly bossy and is a little Mother, both good and bad to Halle. The other day, she spanked her bum. She is difficult to get to bed, comes up with several excuses and usually sleeps with multiple toys. I don't know when she sleeps. Sometimes she is still awake in her room when Aaron and I go to bed, is up around 6:30 and rarely takes a nap. She loves to play in the sand box, tells me "whatever" now, and is really independant. She is very observant, and says the funniest things. The other night, she accidently head butted Halle and gave her a bloody nose. She is sweet, demanding, playful, and kind. This definetly a fun time but also a very difficult time as well.

St. George Trip 2011

The first weekend in June we headed down to St. George for a little Vacation. Thanks Brad and Valerie for letting us stay in your Beautiful Condo. We had a Blast! The girls did really good on the drive down. The first thing Avery said as we walked in the Condo at midnight was "Where's George".

Of course since the weather was so nice we did some swimming. The girls really like playing in the water, but only in the shallow end. They are both afraid of the water and Halle absolutly hates her life jacket.

Right after I snapped this picture Halle walked over the edge of the shallow part.

Of course we did some hiking as well. It is beautiful down there. The girls enjoyed Hiking. Halle really liked going up and down different steps. This is how Aaron carried Avery most of the way. We had to keep reminding her not to cover his eyes.




There was a bridge inbetween 2 huge blouders. Avery was really scared to cross the bridge so Aaron carried her. About half-way accross, she started singing "London Bridges falling down". It was pretty funny, but the way she was singing it could have been right out of a Horror movie.




Avery and I went to go see "The Little Mermaid" at the Tuachan Outdoor Theater. We absolutly loved it. Avery was so excited. I told her she could choose 1 souvenier and she ran right over the the Mermaid Dress. No surprising, but luckily it was one of the more affordible souveniers. She than put it on and wore it the rest of the night. We also got Halle a stuffed sebastian.


It was beautiful there. I definetly would like to go again. Avery loved the entire show and sat so good throughout the whole thing, even though it was 3 hours long and didn't get over until midnight. When they sang the song "look at this stuff" Avery immediatly jumped up and started taking off her blanket and sweat shirt. At first I didn't understand what she was doing, but she wanted to sing and dance along in her Mermaid dress. She sang, clapped and danced the entire show, getting really excited at her favorite parts and following the play very well. At the end, the audience hadn't even started clapping yet, she jumped up and was clapping yelling yaaaaa. The Lady next to us thought it was so cute.

It was a really enjoyable vacation. It was nice to relax, enjoy one anothers company and not feel rushed to go anywhere. We discovered our new favorite treat, Chewy Chocolate chip fudge filled cookies by Chips Ahoy and we also went and saw "Kung Foo Panda" which was really cute. Too bad I only saw half of it, because Halle got bored.

Avery fell asleep on Aaron's lap Sunday night. As soon as I moved her to bed, Halle wanted up in her spot. They are both Daddy's little girls.
