Halle is 14 months old and a funny story!

My Halle girl is getting so big! She is now 14 months old. The last couple weeks she has gotten braver and now is walking all over the place. She also loves climbing up the stairs. She does pretty good. My favorite is when she is walking with her squeaky shoes on. She loves her milk, wants everything that Avery has, now says Hello, Daddy, Mommy, Grandma, Uh-Oh, Night-Night Dog, Jack, Jesus, Stop, shakes her head no and waves bye. Her Avery sometimes fight, but the still love eachother and Halle will occasionally just go and lay her head on Avery. She has Cuddled a lot more lately, which I love! She has 2 out of for pointer teath, and 3 molars pulse all of the ones in the front. She absolutely loves Grandpa Waddoups and Doug (her daycare provider's husband) She is also turning more into a Daddy's girl. She loves to go on walks and gets so excited that she will stand up in the stroller. She loves bathtime and now will usually only poop in the tub about 50% of the time. She loves cheese, pasta and fruit. She hates slowing down and stopping for anything. We love her lots!

The other morning, around 4:30am I heard a noise while I was sleeping. I brushed it off and went back to sleep. Around 5am I heard more so I got up to see what it was. I went downstairs and all of the lights were on, Avery was sitting at the counter eating from a bag of chocolate chips. Too funny!

Also, I don't know if it is the best method or not. But we have found a very affective punishment. Time out never really worked. So if Avery is disobedient, throws a tantrum, is mean to her sister, or picks her noise she doesn't get to wear a "pretty dress".

Happy St. Patricks Day!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

We have had a very fun day. I had to work and the girls went to Mrs. Tynna's. Which they always love to do. First off, my Decor. I don't have much. I love the blog Eight 25! For the past couple of holidays, they made Subway art printables for free. I printed the Christmas one on canvas but wanted to do something cheaper for the rest. I found this frame at Walmart and spray painted it white. I hope to put each Holiday one in there.

I also covered a wooden R with moss, inspired by these from Pottery Barn. I thought it would be cute for St. Patricks day and for Spring.


I made lots of little green footprints with my hand and taped them to the ground going up our porch, into our kitchen, up our oven and fridge. They lead us to the surprise on the counter, a green dinner in the oven and green milk in the fridge.


Here is Avery following the footprints. Her first comment was "look Mommy there is paint on the ground". She enjoyed following them to all of our surprises and Halle enjoyed ripping the up. When Avery discovered the milk, she wanted to call Daddy right away and let him know what the Lephurcans did to his milk.





The Girls were so excited by the Fruit Rainbow and chowed it down. They left hardly anything for Aaron and I. They really liked the blueberries and kiwi.



After eating our green dinner (breakfast casserole). We did some finger painting. I did a little activity with Avery. I drew a rainbow, and had avery put the right colors in the right areas. She did pretty good.


I decided to let Halle finger paint to. She loved it! I think she loved standing at the table and stepping with her sqeaky shoes.





On a different note, tomorrow is Old Navy and Gap friends and family entire purchase 30% off. I hoping to get some good deals. You know the song "If I had a million dollars", well if I did I would totally love to buy these clothes from JCrew Kid's line. I had no idea they even had a kids line. I love them, but totally would not pay that much for them. There are some that if you got the right starter pieces, you could make something like them. I might have to give it a try. Don't you just love that fancy white dress, I would love for that to be a baptism dress. I will just have to start saving for it now.

I need your opinion

I am going to be changing up my family room decor. I want to change my colors to grey, blue, green, and yellow (possibly not all) These are 2 fabrics I am entertaining for curtains.

Sorry, I can't get pictures to post.

#1, This one is a little more suttle and traditional with just the grey and yellow.


#2 This one is a little more funky and modern and has other cordinating fabrics that would work well for pillows.

What do you think #1 or # 2.

Or if you have any other ideas I would love to see. I want some color in the curtains because the walls will be grey. But I have to be careful with the patterns because I want to do this stencil or something else on the wall with the fire place.

What we have been up too

We haven't done too many activities lately. The girls have been sick. Halle got RSV and a double ear infection and Avery, Aaron and I have had a cough/cold that has lasted for a week. We have all been pretty grumpy and miserable but are finally on the mend. Avery got to go see "Tangled" again with some friends. We have been watching a lot of basketball. The High School state championships were last week. Austin and AF did awesome. They came in second to their rival Lone Peak. 2nd is really awesome, but it was still a little sad. I love to watch Austin play basketball. He is amazing. I have never seen anyone as dedicated as he is. If he is not at practice for either the Highschool or his comp team, he is with his trainer, working out, or shooting on his own or with his friends and dad. And on top of all that, he is a High Honor student. He goes from 5-6 am in the morning until he goes to bed at night.


We are looking forward to finishing the basement, redecorating the family room, GNO this friday, and some nice warm spring weather.

Halle is 13months old

It seems like Halle has grown so much this past month. She is such a cutie! She says Night Night (nie nie), Jack, Dada, Mama, and stop. She loves to walk around. She won't walk long distances but is getting braver each day. She loves to go up and down the stairs. She loves dancing, milk, playing with her sisters toys and she loves to rock her baby and put the coins into the piggy bank. She is still attached to Mommy, but also loves Grandpa a lot. Her and Avery are such cute sisters and love to play with eachother. She loves baths but 9 times out of 10 she poops in it. We have it down to a system when that happens.

Lightscoop

So I saw a review a couple of weeks ago for Lightscoop. I was curious, if it could really get that kind of results. So for $30 I figured it was worth a shot. I got the original and for certain situations I am pretty impressed. It doesn't work in all situations. Here are some examples. I took these pictures at about 8:30 at night with only my kitchen light on.

This first one is just with my camara flash. Not a bad picture, but lots of harsh light and shawdows.


This one is with my f stop set at 1.8. Very yellow, and blurry.


This one is with the Lightscoop. Much better.
