What we have been up too

Below are many posts of what we have been up too. Please excuse any spelling and grammar errors. I just realized I probably forgot to spell check several. I love to blog because it is a journal for me to help remember these special times and also since I am forever behind on my scrapbooking, when I finally get to a page I can just look on my blog to help remember what I need to journal.

Unfortunetly the last couple of days have not been the best. Poor Halle has another ear infection and has been miserable. She has been feverish and up most of the night. Today, both of us slept until 11. I think she is finally on the mend. I hate when they are sick, I just wish somehow I could get it instead. Hopefully she is better by this weekend.

Some good news is that I will be going from 3 days a week working down to 2 days. Most likely by August. I can't wait to be home more, but am a little nervous about taking the leap. But I was so excited to enroll Avery in Preschool and dance class in the Fall. She is also excited.

Avery no longer takes a daily nap. Only when she is really tired or I am really persistant. we usually try to at least have some quiet time. On Sunday we were all asleep, so she just laid down on her bean bag and covered herself with a towel and this is how I found her. Funny Girl.


Avery loves any and all arts and crafts. I love seeing how she is progressing through her artwork. I want to get a good quality/sturdy notebook for the girls to draw in occasionally to document how this aspect changes as they grow. Here is how Avery draws people at this time. I believe this is of Aaron.

Park and Play date with Brock

On the fourth, Brock came over to play. Brock and Avery play so well together even though boy type toys are hard to find in our house. It was a little chilly but we still decided to go to the park.

We got to use Halle's birthday gift for the first time. We have just been occasionally eating lunch in it in the family room. It has two seats but I was able to get all of the kids squished in. Of course I couldn't get a picture with all of the kids looking at the camara. There go Halle's fruit snacks.


I love the Target Dollar spot and go through it every time I am there. A couple of weeks ago I picked up several of these masks. To make the walk to the park more interesting and hoping to discourage any fighting due to the close quarters we pretended to be bugs. I didn't think Halle would like wearing a mask, but just like with everything else she wanted to do what the bigger kids were doing. My cute little bugs.


We had a fun time at the park. Avery loves to climb everything and will now go down any slide by herself. I did have to bribe her the first time. This was the first time that I put Halle up in the big kid are and followed her around. She loved it and didn't want to get down.


Halle absolutly loved the slide and wanted to go down again and again. This is a really cute one of all the kids. We attempted to do a train down the slide.




To end the park trip we ran down the hill a couple of times to ensure good naps (or to have fun).


After lunch we did a little Easter craft. These now on our fridge. I love handprint crafts, it is a great way to document how big they are getting over the years. Obviously I did most of Halle's, I added her hand print. But for Brock and Avery I cut everything out, but helped them squeeze the glue and semi directed them where to place everything. We had a fun day.

Conference Weekend

We had a fun Conference weekend. Unfortunetly I was on call so I've had to do some reading to catch up on everything that I missed. I did score these cute chairs at Ross during girls night. The girls loved them. There is just something about chairs that are just their size.

April 1st Wheeler Farm

We met some friends at Wheeler Farm to see all of the animals and eat some lunch. Normally we would only go about once a year, but considering we were an hour late and the girls loved it, we will have to go again. From the moment I told Avery we were going, she wanted to see the cows and that is all she talked about. So here is the girls and Brock looking at the cows. They loved looking at all of the animals


I shouldn't have even brought the stroller. Halle loved walking around and was filthy by the end of the day.

We had a fun time. Some of the girls are from my Freezer meal group. They are so much fun and we always have a blast when we get to hang out with them. The girls had a ton of fun and the day was perfect. They both were actually introduced to marshmallows thanks to Aunt Kami and they are now a favorite.

We look forward to warmer weather and all of the fun things that it brings.

Fun with the Vacuum

Every time I pull out the Vacuum the girls want to "help". They always have a blast. On 3-31 I thought they were too cute not to take some pictures. They were laughing so hard. It has been so fun lately, because the girls actually want to play with eachother. Avery is such a good big sister. She is so patient and loves her sister. Even though sometimes she is too much of a little Mommy. Halle LOVES Avery! She wants to do and have everything that she does and Avery can always get her to laugh. Even today when Halle isn't feeling well, Halle still laughs at Avery.

It did cross my mind as they were doing it that it was gross, but they were too cute and having too much fun.

Tangled

Its no secret, Avery loves Tangled! So the day it came out, we went and got it and invited Aunt McCall over to have a picnic on the floor and watch it. We had a fun time. Avery has all of the songs memorized. Halle got bored thought.

Puffy Paint

Back on 3/28 Avery had a playdate with one of her best Friends. She is so funny whoever she is playing with that day, including me, is her best friend. But it does change each day. We tried a new craft called puffy paint. It was a lot of fun. You take 1 Tbs of salt and 1 Tbs of flour and mix that with a little water to make a paste. Then put in drops of food coloring to make the colors. I just used washable paint instead because I was worried about it staining there clothes. You than put it in the microwave for 30 seconds and it puffs up. They had a blast and thought it was so fun having it puff up. I think if you use food coloring the colors are a little brighter.


She is such a funny girl. She wants to wear a dress every day and talks about what she is going to be wearing the next day. She wanted to wear her earings that day.

Oldies but goodies

I have a stack of magazines, PB catalogs and other things for awhile that have had ideas that I liked or wanted to copy eventually. Well I finally got around to scanning them. I also had some photos that I needed to scan. Most of them were ones that my Mom took the girls to get their picture taken on "Grandma Day".

This is just from Halloween last year. Halle wasn't exactly thrilled to get her picture taken. Courtney and Avery love playing on Grandma Day. Avery calls her Tourtney.



I love this one of Avery. She looks so pretty and also looks like she is in her own little dream land.



Poor Halle. She was the cutest Snow White.



This is from Halloween 2009. Avery didn't like having her picture taken. She would only sit there if she could hold Courtney.


This one is from Christmas 2009. Avery wouldn't sit on Santa's lap by herself so Aaron suggested all of us should sit there. Poor Santa, I was 8 1/2 months pregnant.



Just thought I'd share. Some of these pics already have scrapbook pages waiting for them. I am going on a scrapbook weekend the first weekend march. I don't know if I am too ambitious, but I hope to get completely caught up by that weekend and then hop to stay caught up. We will see.
